1. Respect – instilled from a very early age 2. Accountability – the blame culture is poisonous 3. Parental accountability – UK is becoming, more and more, a state where parents blame schools, the government and other bodies for things that they can and should sort out themselves. Also, it seems unkind to children not to set limitations/boundaries as regards what is and what is not acceptable. Making children the centre of attention is silly and potentially tragic. 4. Media accountability – actual reporting of facts rather than fictions or half truths 5. Understanding – other cultures exist, we must learn about them; they matter as much as our own. 6. We are not perfect. Nothing is perfect. This is why we try harder. 7. Trust – we must earn it.
